Rumors of Voodoo Doughnut coming to Universal CityWalk in Orlando have been swirling for awhile. Universal Orlando Resort confirmed those rumors today by announcing that Voodoo Doughnut is coming to CityWalk this spring.
What Is Voodoo Doughnut?
Voodoo Doughnut is a unique doughnut chain started by Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon. It is known for its eclectic decor, unconventional ingredients, and the pink boxes that are used to package the doughnuts.
Voodoo Doughnut began with a single store in Portland, Oregon in 2003 and has since expanded to other cities, including Denver, Colorado and Austin, Texas. Voodoo Doughnut also has a location in Universal CityWalk in Hollywood.
Voodoo Doughnut Location
Voodoo Doughnut will be in CityWalk in the space formerly occupied by Element.
Voodoo Doughnut Menu
Voodoo Doughnut will sell more than 50 kinds of doughnuts in CityWalk. Options will include hand cut raised yeast doughnuts and cake doughnuts. The raised yeast doughnuts are the larger of the two and are meant to be light and fluffy. The cake doughnuts are smaller and denser, but richer in flavor.
Vooddo Doughnuts will sell signature original doughnuts, including their Voodoo Doll doughnut, in addition to one-of-a-kind doughnuts with unconventional ingredients like Oreo cookies, Cocoa Puffs, Captain Crunch, grape dust, and lavender sprinkles.
