Fun Photo Ops in Universal Studios Florida

You don't need an expensive photo package to get great vacation photos in Universal Studios Florida. The park is filled with excellent photo ops that will help you capture fun vacation moments and memories - whether you're taking pictures with your camera or selfies with your phone. In this pictorial, we'll list some of the photo ops in Universal Studios that fans love best and provide information on where you can find each photo opportunity. 

The Bluesmobile in New York

The Blues Brothers perform on a stage in the New York area (across from Finnegan's) each day. They pull up to the performance area in the Bluesmobile, a decommissioned police car with a huge speaker mounted to the roof. You can get your picture with the car while The Blues Brothers are on stage. Check the free park map near the gates for show times.

Jaws in San Francisco

The Jaws attraction and the rest of Amity are long gone, but you can still find everyone's favorite shark hanging on the docks of the San Francisco area in USF. This photo op is popular, but lines are usually non-existent or relatively short. Most people stand next to Jaws to get their photo taken, but there are lots of guests who like to stick their head right into the shark's mouth.

Telephone Booth in London Waterfront

The famed visitor's entrance to the Ministry of Magic can be found in the London Waterfront area of Universal Studios Florida. This fun photo op for Harry Potter fans is interactive. If you enter the booth, pick up the telephone receiver, and dial 62442 (MAGIC), you'll hear a special Ministry of Magic message. While you're near the telephone booth, be sure to check out the window of the record shop to see if you can spot the album cover that contains a quote from the Jaws movie; this prop is a tribute to the Jaws ride that was removed to make way for Wizarding World attractions.

Knight Bus in London Waterfront

The Knight Bus is also located in the London Waterfront area of Universal Studios Florida. When most people take a picture of this triple-decker bus, they snap the side where the Knight Bus conductor stands, but if you go around to the other side of the bus, you'll find a small step-up that allows you to partially board the bus and get a great picture. While you're there, be sure to look inside the bus for a visual treat.

Motorbike and Sidecar in Diagon Alley

In the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley, there is a replica of the motorbike and sidecar ridden by Hagrid and Harry in an early scene of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 movie. You can climb on the bike (or into the sidecar) for a fun pic. The motorbike is located at the base of a tall set of stairs near Gringott's Bank. Be sure to climb the stairs afterward for a great view of Diagon Alley.

Gringott's Dragon in Diagon Alley

There is a huge Ukraine Ironbelly Dragon that sits atop Gringott's Bank in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley. The dragon breathes fire every 10 minutes. When you enter Diagon Alley, get your watch and your camera ready to catch a picture of the flames.

The Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley

The Leaky Cauldron restaurant in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley has an actual leaky cauldron that sits in the fireplace. A lot of Harry Potter fans like to get their picture taken in front of this gigantic cracked cauldron while they are in the restaurant. Some people even skip the food and stop by just for the pic. (Though you shouldn't skip the food unless you have to - it's quite good!)

The Vanishing Cabinet In Knockturn Alley

If you visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida, you'll find a dark alley known as Knockturn Alley. This area is home to one open shop: Borgin and Burkes. Inside, you'll find the Vanishing Cabinet from the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie.You can pose next to this cabinet for a great picture. Be sure to listen closely while you're near the Vanishing Cabinet. You'll hear the chirps of a canary!

Stars in Hollywood

The actual Hollywood Walk of Fame in California has more than 2,500 stars embedded into the sidewalks. The Hollywood area of Universal Studios Florida has a similar Walk of Fame in the Hollywood area with 66 different stars. You can take a pic of your favorite star or get a photo of yourself near the star.

Classic Cars in Hollywood

You can find a lot of different classic cars in front of Mel's diner, including replicas of the cars from the American Graffiti movie. These cars and the rest of Mel's Diner is a fun photo op for Universal guests who are fans of that classic era. If you stop by to check out the cars, be sure to look at the license plates, which contain fun references.

The DeLorean Near the Lagoon

The Back to the Future ride was a fan favorite in Universal Orlando. The ride is gone now, but fans can still get their picture with the Back to the Future DeLorean. You'll find it near the lagoon between Hollywood and the Springfield area when you visit Universal Studios Florida. Doc Brown often hangs out around this area, so be sure to look for him when you're taking your photos.

The Jules Verne Train Near the Lagoon

The Jules Verne Train, which was featured in the Back to the Future III movie, can be found next to the DeLorean near the entrance of Woody Woodpecker's KidZone. You can approach this train from a few different sides to get your pic. Most people take their photos from the walkway, but you can also get a photo on the lagoon side of the train if you want a more unique angle.

E.T. in Woody Woodpecker's KidZone

If you stop into E.T.'s Toy Closet, the gift shop for E.T. Adventure, you'll find a cute photo opportunity that allows you to get your picture taken with E.T. in a closet full of toys. A Universal Team Member will take the picture for you. If you just want a picture of E.T. alone in the closet (like the one below), you can stand behind a rope and take the picture yourself.

Curious George Car in Woody Woodpecker's KidZone

The Curious George Goes To Town play area in Universal Studios Florida is filled with great photo ops. One of our favorites is the pink car near the Curious George fountain. The car is pulling an animal train cart. You can sit inside the car so it looks like you drove it into the fountain. Curious George Goes To Town is located in Woody Woodpecker's KidZone.

Gary in WoodyWoodpecker's KidZone

In Woody Woodpecker's KidZone, you'll find a photo op that a lot of people miss. If you go into SpongeBob StorePants, and then go inside the pineapple, you'll find SpongeBob's trusty pet snail Gary under trippy psychedelic lighting.

Barney in Springfield

There are tons of great photo ops in Moe's Tavern in the Springfield section of Universal Studios Florida. One that you don't want to miss is Barney. You'll find him standing between the end of the bar and the Love Tester machine.

Simpsons Fence in Springfield

There is a Simpsons themed fence near the Kwik-E-Mart in the Springfield area of Universal Studios Florida. The fence features several Simpsons characters. You can stand against the fence next to the painted characters to make it look like you are about to be frisked by Chief Clarence "Clancy" Wiggum.
