Hard Rock Café Restaurant Description
The Hard Rock Café combines food with music memorabilia. Each location features thousands of curated pieces from rock music's greatest artists. The Orlando location is the largest in the world and contains the iconic suit that Elvis wore in the Viva Las Vegas movie, fragments of Pete Townshend's custom guitar, Buddy Holly's glasses, a huge collection of Beatles memorabilia, and other unique pieces.
Hard Rock Café Menu and Prices
The Hard Rock Café Orlando has an extensive menu. You can find many of the same offerings that are served at other Hard Rock Cafés, including the Legendary Burger. The Orlando version has Twisted Mac and Cheese on it.
In addition to burgers, you can also find a wide range of appetizers, salads, fajitas, steaks, smokehouse barbecue, salmon, sandwiches, and desserts like shakes, cakes, cobbler, and Ben & Jerry's ice cream. The Hard Rock Café also has a large drink menu. If you're looking for something unique, try one of the twisted milkshakes or the table-pressed alcoholic lemonades.
Food prices vary by menu item, but typically fall somewhere between $10 and $35. You can see the full Hard Rock Café Orlando menu to learn more about food offerings and prices.
Getting Discounts at Hard Rock Café
If you plan on visiting the Hard Rock Café (especially if you plan on visiting more than once), we highly recommend signing up for Hard Rock Rewards, a free rewards program with benefits like priority seating coupons, dedicated check-in at Hard Rock Hotels, and points that can be spent on food, apparel, souvenirs, and hotel stays. You earn points for every dollar spent at the Hard Rock Café, Hard Rock Hotel, and Rock Shop.
If you're a Universal annual passholder, you can get additional discounts. Preferred and Premier Pass holders both get a 15 percent discount at the Hard Rock Café (excludes alcoholic beverages) and the Rock Shop. Power Pass holders do not qualify for a discount.
When to Visit
The Hard Rock is open from 11:00 am to 12:00 am. Lunch and early afternoon is a great time to visit because the restaurant is not nearly as busy as it is at dinner time or after the park closes. However, the restaurant has plenty of seating on multiple levels, so getting a table isn't usually that difficult most of the time (but there are exceptions). If you don't like to wait for a table, you should definitely make reservations ahead of time so that you can get priority seating.
The Hard Rock Café exits into a gift shop known as the Rock Shop, where you can purchase Hard Rock themed apparel, hats, pins, and other fashion accessories.
If you like Hard Rock merchandise, consider venturing over to the Hard Rock Hotel, which is within walking distance and also has a Hard Rock themed gift shop.
UO Fan Guide Tips
There is one little known secret about the Hard Rock Café in Orlando - you can take a private VIP tour for free. Known as the VIBE tour, this free experience takes you places that normal restaurant visitors do not get to go.
So how do you get the tour? Just ask for it! Politely mention to the restaurant hostess that you would like to take the VIBE tour. If the restaurant isn't too busy, you'll be connected with a tour host who will guide you through the experience and tell you all sorts of facts along the way.
Some of the places you might get to go on the tour include The Attic, a catch-all room that houses instruments, rock props, and walls covered with notes, quotes, and autographs from some of the most famous rock stars in the world, and The John Lennon Room, which contains personal drawings, photos, writings, records, furniture, and other items that belonged to the famed Beatles member.
One of the most unique pieces of memorabilia that you can see on this tour is a beautiful white piano with autographed keys. The keys are signed by some of the most famous piano players in the world, including Elton John, Billy Joel, and Stevie Wonder. You can see some pictures from the Hard Rock Café Vibe Tour on the official Universal Orlando blog.
