Hollywood Drive-In Golf in Universal CityWalk Orlando
Hollywood Drive-In Golf is located near the entrance of Universal CityWalk Orlando (when coming from the bus drop-off area or the Universal parking garage). Just turn to the right to find the ticket office after you enter CityWalk.
Hollywood Drive-In Golf Courses
Hollywood Drive-In Golf is miniature golf with a movie-based twist. You start your golf experience at a box office modeled after a drive-in movie ticket booth. This is where you pay, pick up your club, choose your favorite colored golf ball, and decide if you are going to play 18 holes (known as a single-feature) or 36 holes (known as a double-feature). There are two different 18-hole courses: The Haunting of Ghostly Greens and Invaders From Planet Putt.
The Haunting of Ghostly Greens is themed around a vintage horror flick, complete with a cemetery, ghosts, and a haunted wood. The 18th hole of the course requires you to brave a really impressive haunted mansion. (Be sure to keep your eyes out for ghosts!)
Invaders From Planet Putt is themed around old sci-fi films. There are little green men all over the course. You also encounter a huge space worm, a gangly robot, and crazy-eyed cows that look like they've reached their abduction limit. The course ends in a fun but creepy lab.
When to Visit Hollywood Drive-In Golf
Hollywood Drive-in Golf is open seven days a week. You can putt on the course anytime between 9:00 am and 2:00 am.
Hollywood Drive-In Golf Discounts
There are a few different ways to get deals and discounts on Hollywood Drive-In Golf. To start, Universal annual passholders get a nice discount on single-features (18 holes) for up to five people. Power Pass holders save 10 percent. Guests with a Preferred or Premier Pass save 15 percent.
You can also save money by buying your tickets in advance from Hollywood Drive-In Golf online. You get 13 percent off; same day tickets are not available. This savings cannot be combined with other discounts (like the annual passholder discount).
Universal Orlando offers a Meal and Mini-Golf Deal that includes dinner in a CityWalk restaurant (select menu items) and 18 holes of golf for $23.95. (Note: Prices are subject to change at any time.)
UO Fan Guide Golfing Tip
There is no bad time for Hollywood Drive-In Golf, but nighttime can be particularly fun because of the way the courses are lit.
Daytime also has the benefit of minimal crowds, but shade is very limited, so you may want to avoid golfing in the warmest part of a hot, sunny day.
UO Fan Guide Review of Hollywood Drive-In Golf
Hollywood Drive-In Golf is one of our favorite entertainment options in CityWalk Orlando.
Both courses are fun to play, but if we were to pick only one, it would have to be The Haunting of Ghostly Greens. The hole located in the maze is both fun and challenging, and the towering haunted house makes the perfect end to the course.
