Show Times for Musical Street Shows
Musical street shows occur periodically throughout the day. Some of them move around the park, which means that you can't always find them in the same location each time you visit. Exact show times also vary depending on the day and the show. If you're interested in a particular show, you should check show times on the free park maps located just inside the entrances of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure to make sure you're in the right place at the right time.
Studio Brass Band
The Studio Brass Band is a live band that performs well known film and TV theme songs. You can catch the performances in Hollywood on the corner of Plaza of the Stars and Rodeo Drive near the entrance of Universal Studios Florida.
The set for Beat Builders looks just like regular old construction scaffolding and could easily be mistaken for a real work site. There are guys in construction hats and vests hanging around the scaffolding, and there are plenty of workbenches, sawhorses, and other tools in sight. But then the construction workers start banging their tools on everything around them, the crowd gathers, and it quickly becomes obvious that the whole space is designed for a performance. The Beat Builders specialize in drumming. They start their percussion performance several stories in the air before moving down to the street to mingle with the crowd. The grand finale takes them back into the air where they perform a rendition of Michael Jackson's song "Beat It."
Marilyn Monroe Street Show
Marilyn Monroe performs a daily show in the streets of the New York area of Universal Studios Florida. The show is short and consists of just a couple of musical numbers performed by Marilyn and a few backup dancers. The premise is that Marilyn is preparing for an upcoming film. Some of the songs that you might hear during this show include "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "Candyman."
Flying Fish Market
The Flying Fish Market show is a really fun, upbeat show that combines music with juggling and acrobatics. The setting is a fish market. Props include fake fish, buckets, and sardine boxes. The performers are incredibly talented, and the songs are the kinds of familiar hits that you'd hear on the radio (e.g. Uptown Funk).
