New Dutch Trading Co. Review

We went into New Dutch Trading Co. late at night after a long day at the theme park. Being able to quickly grab a premade sandwich out of the cooler was really convenient. We got a Cuban Sandwich, which is one of the craft sandwiches at New Dutch Trading Co.

A member of the staff offered to warm up the sandwich when we went to the counter to pay, but we turned this offer down so that we could see what the sandwich tastes like when you pull it direct from the cooler. The sandwich was very large and stuffed with quite a bit of meat. The price on the sandwich was $10, which seemed fair given its size. We supplemented the sandwich with an oatmeal raisin cookie and a bag of crackling (pork rinds) off the rack.

The sandwich was very good and quite filling. We may have been influenced by the fact that we were rather hungry and it was really late at night, but it felt like this sandwich really "hit the spot."  We would get it again without hesitation.

We also purchased a few take home souvenirs, including the New Dutch Trading Co. tea and a Sweet Heat Rub used at Dhrum Club Kantine. Both were very good. We've used the Sweet Heat Rub on burgers and chicken, though it is probably best suited for pork.

Overall, we really like New Dutch Trading Co. There is really only one thing to complain about: the place isn't big enough! The actual footprint for New Dutch Trading Co. is very small - perhaps too small given how popular it seemed to be among guests. There is no real clear place to queue up, and those who are queuing up inadvertently get in the way of people who are shopping or trying to order their own food from the counter area. Nevertheless, we would definitely recommend stopping by this place for a snack and some souvenir shopping.

Full disclosure: we did not pay for the sandwich at New Dutch Trading Co. because we had free dining credits that came with our hotel room.
