Poseidon's Fury Show Description

Poseidon's Fury is one of two live action shows in Lost Continent (the other is The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad Stunt Show). Your guide for Poseidon's Fury is a nerdy archaeologist named Taylor who works for the Global Discovery Group. Taylor leads you through a series of antechambers within the ancient, crumbling Temple of Poseidon. You eventually find yourself caught up in a fight between Poseidon (the good guy) and Lord Darkenon (the bad guy), and only Poseidon can get you out alive. The show incorporates movie screens and special effects, including smoke machines, 200 flame effects, and four different types of lasers. See the park map for Poseidon's Fury show times.

Poseidon's Fury Show History

Poseidon's Fury opened with Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando in 1999. However, there have been a couple of different versions of the show. In the original version, Poseidon was the bad guy, not the good guy. The old show also featured Zeus instead of Lord Darkanon.

UO Fan Guide Show Tip

It can sometimes be hard to see all of the action in the Poseidon's Fury show. It just depends on how many people are at the show and how many of them are standing in front of you. Try to get a good spot in front if possible.

UO Fan Guide Mini Review of Poseidon's Fury

The special effects are the highlight of Poseidon's Fury and easily outshine the premise and the actual script. The show feels long in spots because you stand throughout. Although the show setting is well-themed inside and out, the show is so "meh" that you should probably put it low on your priority list or leave it off the list altogether. There are way better forms of entertainment in Universal Orlando.
