The Groove in Universal CityWalk Orlando
The Groove is located on the entertainment promenade in Universal CityWalk Orlando. You can find it between Antojitos and Fat Tuesday. The entire building is lit up at night, making it almost impossible to miss.
What Is The Groove?
As the name implies, The Groove is a dance club. It features multiple levels, each designed to look like an old theater in the process of renovation. There is a very large dance floor in addition to seven full-service bars.
The Groove does not serve food. Table service is available, but as in most clubs, it isn't cheap. Special areas include themed spots like the Blue Room, Green Room, and Red Room as well as a balcony terrace with a great view of CityWalk.
Music is provided by DJs. There is usually someone new working the table each night. Most play a modern and eclectic mix of Top 40, hip hop, rap, R&B, and Latin music with a few classics thrown in. The Groove also hosts live bands on occasion. You can visit the Universal Orlando Resort events page to see who will be appearing on each night.
When to Visit The Groove
The Groove is open seven days a week from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am. You can find smaller crowds early at night or during the week.
You must be at least 21 years old to get in the door at The Groove.
The Groove Dress Code
The dress code at The Groove is casual-chic. Think casual, but not too dressy (i.e., men should avoid wearing tank tops and ball caps).
Cover Charges at The Groove
Like other clubs in CityWalk, The Groove has a cover charge. This $7 fee is waived for on-site hotel guests and patrons with a CityWalk Party Pass.
Map The Groove
