Top of the Walk Food Court in Universal CityWalk Orlando
The Top of the Walk Food Court is located on the upper level of CityWalk Orlando. It will be on your right if you are entering CityWalk from the Universal parking structure or the bus drop-off area. You can find it near the second level exit of the AMC Universal Cineplex 20 with IMAX.
What Is the Top of the Walk Food Court?
The Top of the Walk Food Court is designed to provide quick service food options for guests who are visiting CityWalk or leaving the theme parks via CityWalk. This fast food option can be convenient if you are in a hurry or looking for cheaper food options. The food court is also nice for families or other parties of people who can't agree on what to eat in CityWalk. After ordering and paying for your food at separate locations, you can all meet up in a shared outdoor seating area and eat your food together.
Universal Orlando has six different quick service dining options in the Top of the Walk Food Court:
- BK Whopper Bar
- Bread Box Handcrafted Sandwiches
- Fusion Bistro Sushi and Sake Bar
- Menchie's Frozen Yogurt
- Moe's Southwest Grill
- Panda Express
BK Whopper Bar
Many Americans (and other international guests) are familiar with the Burger King chain of restaurants, but Top of the Walk Food Court offers something a little different. It is known as the BK Whopper Bar, and it truly lets you have your burger your way. The BK Whopper Bar in Orlando was the first of its kind in the United States.
Unlike a traditional Burger King, the BK Whopper Bar has a smaller menu and allows guests to dress their own burger using ingredients from a generous toppings bar. Most of the menu is Whopper related. You can get an Angry Whopper (angry onions, jalapenos, spicy sauce, and pepper jack cheese), a Bourbon Whopper, a California Whopper, a Pepper Bacon Whopper, etc. If you don't like burgers, you'll find a few other things on the menu, including chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, and salads. Most of the menu items cost about $10.
Bread Box Handcrafted Sandwiches
Bread Box is our favorite restaurant in the Top of the Walk Food Court because the food is tasty, and in some cases, cheaper and better than most of the quick service options in the theme park. The bread (numerous kinds) is baked fresh every day, and their meat and vegetable toppings are of far better quality than what you might find at some fast food sandwich shops (I'm looking at you Subway).
You can choose from cold deli sandwiches or hot sandwiches (known as melts). The Bread Box menu includes all of the things you might find at your favorite neighborhood deli, including Italian, pastrami, turkey, ham, and roast beef sandwiches. You can also find vegetarian options, such as the three cheese, veggie, or tomato and mozzarella sandwich. Most of the sandwiches cost between $8 and $10, making Bread Box a very reasonably priced option.
Other menu items include sides - we've had everything from chips and potato salad to French fries and tater tots. You can also get fresh soups, sodas, and draft beers. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas, though there is also the option of just getting your food to go so you can enjoy it back at your hotel.
Fusion Bistro Sushi and Sake Bar
The Fusion Bistro Sushi and Sake Bar is a walk-up bar in Top of the Walk Food Court that sells a really wide range of sushi and Japanese fusion dishes. Guests are hosted by a modern geisha and have an opportunity to watch their food being prepared while they sip on unfiltered sake, fruit infused sake, beer, wine, or non-alcoholic drinks like soda or green tea.
A few sample entrees include nigiri, sashimi, cooked or raw maki, tuna rolls, avocado rolls, and bento boxes. They also have a number of side salads, such as seaweed salad, ginger salad, and spicy tuna salad. Entrée prices average somewhere between $6 and $12. Drinks cost about $5 to $8, though there are some bottles of sake sold at market price.
Menchie's Frozen Yogurt
Menchie's Frozen Yogurt has hundreds of locations all over the world. Unlike most of the places in Top of the Walk Food Court, you can't get a full meal at the Menchie's, but you can get all of the frozen yogurt that you can eat. You see, Menchies is a self-serve yogurt restaurant. You get a cup and then fill it up as much as you'd like at one of the frozen yogurt dispensers. Then, you top it with whatever you want at the shop's toppings bar.
Menchie's is known for having creative frozen yogurt flavors like The Art of Black Cherry Tart, Rockin' Salted Caramel, Pineapple Cake, and Toasty Marshmallow. See all of the Menchie's flavors on the Menchie's site.
Toppings are also plentiful; there are quite literally dozens and dozens to choose from. Some examples include fruit, chocolate and strawberry sauces, chocolate chips, nuts, candy pieces, etc. As you are dispensing yogurt and topping your creation, just remember that Menchie's charges by the weight of your cup. You will have to pay for every ounce of yumminess.
Moe's Southwest Grill
Moe's Southwest Grill, also known as Moe's, is an international chain restaurant that serves up Southwest style foods like burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and salads. The Moe's in CityWalk Orlando has all of the food that the restaurant is best known for. You can also expect free chips and salsa with every order. Most entrees on the menu can be purchased for about $7 to $9. Kid's meals are about $5. See the full Moe's Southwest Grill menu for more info on food offerings.
Panda Express is a fast food chain that serves American Chinese cuisine. This is one of the busiest restaurants in the Top of the Walk Food Court. The reason for this may not be the tastiness of the food, but because it is the only place to get Chinese food in CityWalk. Panda Express is also a very recognizable chain due to the fact that it is the largest fast food Chinese restaurant in the United States.
The Panda Express menu has entrees like Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Eggplant Tofu. Sides include rice (brown, white or fried), chow mein, and mixed veggies. And, of course, you can end each meal with a fortune cookie. Most entrees cost $7 to $10, but there are a few things that you can order that cost more or less.
